Week Six: Fine or Pine

Our version of start 'em, sit 'em - "Fine or Pine."  Go get 'em, Adam Filadelfo!  (@Frostt24)

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Week six is almost here and it's time to give your lineup serious consideration. Should you base your decisions on matchups or leave in every stud player? Sometimes these decisions are easy while other weeks they can make fantasy owners crazy. This is where The Fantasy Sports Brain can help.

Quarterback

Fine- Tony Romo- After the shootout with Denver where Romo set a Cowboys franchise record throwing for five hundred six yards and five touchdowns, Romo should have no problem this week when he faces a poor Washington defense.

Pine- Carson Palmer- Having thrown seven interceptions to just three touchdowns the last three weeks should tell fantasy owners all they need to know regarding the Cardinals signal caller. He's just not that reliable. Arizona gets a tough San Francisco defense that did most of the work in beating Houston in week five.

Wide Receiver

Fine- Dez Bryant- Dez is a must start for multiple reasons this week. The first being Dallas faces a weak Washington defense that hasn't been capable of stopping opposing offenses yet. The second reason is Dez has owned the Skins since coming into the league. He has three touchdowns in his last four games versus them and his abilities should be on display once again this week.

Pine- Dwayne Bowe- After being held to a measly four catches for thirty five yards in week five, Bowe has done very little for his owners up until this point. His season stats read seventeen receptions for one hundred eighty three yards and two touchdowns. He's well on his way to having another poor fantasy season and he faces the Raiders defense this week which isn't that bad.

Running Back

Fine- Doug Martin- Up until this point, Doug Martin hasn't lived up to his first round billing but a game against the Eagles defense could be just what the "Muscle Hamster" needs. He's coming off a bye week and should have no problem being a running back one this week.

Pine- Le'Veon Bell- Even though Bell rushed for two touchdowns his last game, the Steelers get a tough Jets defense that defends well versus the run. Big Ben may be forced to throw a lot more than he'd like because finding much room to run may be a tough task this week.

Tight End

Fine- Rob Gronkowski- It may be Gronk's first game this season but his presence will be an immediate upgrade to a struggling offense that can't seem to find any rhythm as of yet. Gronk may not be himself right away but with the receivers in New England not living up to Brady's expectations, look for Gronk to command a ton of targets right away.

Pine- Heath Miller- While I like Miller's fantasy value going forward, I don't like his matchup this week. Against a good Jets D-line, Miller may be asked to block more for Big Ben as Pittsburgh is figuring to pass more than run seeing how poor the Steelers O-line is and how strong the Jets are versus the run.

Defense

Fine- Cincinnati- The Bengals face the Bills and Thad Lewis this week. I don't expect much from the Buffalo offense seeing how Thad Lewis was just signed off the practice squad and has one NFL appearance under his belt. Plus Spiller is also a little banged up and the Bengals defense should have a great fantasy week because of it.

Pine- Tampa Bay- The Buccaneers get the Eagles in week six and we all know the birds can score points. Revis has struggled a bit this season and no defense has shown they can stop the Philadelphia offense. The Buccaneers defense hasn't been that bad this season but the Eagles offense has been a little better.
