Team Talk: New Orleans Saints

Heading back over to the NFC South, the New Orleans Saints are on the clock. It seems like every season fantasy owners have plenty of fantasy studs to choose from when talking about the Saints. From their quarterback to receivers and running backs, the Saints always provide fantasy owners with plenty of talent. 2014 will not be any different.

Drew Brees- Once again, Drew Brees passed for over 5,000 yards. He also added over 40 touchdowns combined and was the second highest scoring fantasy quarterback last season averaging 27 fantasy points per game. Fantasy owners can expect more of the same this season.

Marques Colston- While Colston may not be the top receiver he's been in recent years, he's still capable of helping fantasy owners. 2013 saw him average over eight fantasy points per game and he still managed 75 catches for 943 yards and five touchdowns. His 2014 numbers should be close to his 2013 production.

Kenny Stills- For a rookie receiver, Stills managed to catch 32 balls for over 600 yards and five touchdowns. He averaged almost six fantasy points per game and should be an even bigger fantasy receiver in 2014.

Brandin Cooks- The rookie out of Oregon State collected 226 receptions for over 3,200 yards and 24 touchdowns in his three seasons at Oregon State. He is expected to be a major factor for the Saints early on and could be a sleeper for fantasy owners in drafts this season.

Mark Ingram- At what point do fantasy owners just completely give up on Mark Ingram? He has provided no fantasy relevance whatsoever since coming into the league and always seems to have an injury that causes him to miss time. 2013 saw Ingram play in 11 games and rush for 386 yards and just a single touchdown. He averaged under five fantasy points per game and fantasy owners shouldn't expect much from him in 2014 either.

Pierre Thomas- As of now, Thomas has to be considered the lead back for the Saints to start the season. With the departure of Darren Sproles, fantasy owners can expect Thomas to be the recipient of close to the same number of receptions from last season (77) and could help fantasy owners immensely in PPR formats. With the way the Saints like to throw the ball all over the field, Pierre Thomas should be considered a top back heading into fantasy drafts in 2014.

Jimmy Graham- The best fantasy tight end in 2013, Graham averaged almost 14 fantasy points per game and scored 16 touchdowns. Even if Gronk is healthy for the start of the season, Jimmy Graham will be the top tight end off the board again in 2014. There is little doubt in fantasy owners' minds that Jimmy Graham can come close to his 2013 numbers again.
